These guys are always pleasing to me...unlike their city...but this music totally makes sense unulating through that crsip, clean, Eucalyptus tinted SF air. New record 5/13.

Papercuts Sign To Sub Pop
Papercuts is one Jason Quever (San Francisco) who has released 3 full length LPs on Gnomonsong which includes last year's You Can Have What You Want which was criminally overlooked. Quever records all tracks himself entirely in analog (no computers are involved in the recording process) and uses a tasteful amount of reverb on his vocals to give his songs just the right amount of distance. This guy listens to a lot of Zombies records and his music reflects that in a sincere way. It should be interesting to see where Sub Pop's resources take Quever's tunes.
Sub Pop expects a new record to come out early 2011.
