No Age x "Life Prowler"
Here's another Everything In Between preview...this time brought to you by an inflated rubber S&M dude playing with a bicycle tire pump. This record is going to rule it.

Williamsburg, 1992
Check out this photo essay of my very own neighborhood streets, circa 1992. If I solely go on these photos, I'd have to think that it's kinda like the southside hasn't changed at all.

Mercury Rev / Dean and Britta
Check out Jonathan Donahue & Grasshopper of Mercury Rev joining Dean Wareham and Britta of Galaxy 500 doing renditions of songs from each of their catalogues in what looks to be a general store in upstate New York. Good stuff.

Clinic x "I'm Aware"
I'm really into this new Clinic track (and great video) which the band is promoting as the first single from their new TBR record Bubblegum. I really hope the entire record is in the vain of "I'm Aware" - strings, soft melodies. This is a band I've never fully gotten into- I like a song here and there but their records never stick for me...we shall see how this one turns out.
Bubblegum is out 10/15 on Domino.

Beck's Record Club x Beck / Thurston / Tortoise x "One Man's Dream" (Yanni)
I continue to be amazed by this edition of Beck's Record Club. I mean, Yanni? Noise? Good? I actually hope they press this 1-day collab (1 day?!) because it's seriously good.
