JEFF Does Fallon

This made my day (week probably)...These dudes just keep bringing it - I mean they brought a friend along to eat a burger in front of them while they play for the first time on national TV!  I'd be lying if I said I wasn't jealous of the burger guy.

Jeff The Brotherhood Do Daytrotter

In case you haven't done so yet, head over to Daytrotter and check out what they're all about. Basically, Daytrotter the virtual is a website. Daytrotter the reality is a barn in Rock Island (seriously) Illinois where bands stop by while on the road to record straight to tape a few songs live, with no overdubs, using only the equipment which happens to be there. Said recordings are then converted to MP3 and offered to the world for free with original illustrations for each session.

If this isn't good enough for you, rad-i-cals Jeff The Brotherhood stopped by on March 19 to do some damage. Nab the session here!

Jeff The Brotherhood: "Heavy Days"

(Originally written for and posted to Thunder on 11/05/09)

Comprised of brothers Jamin (drums) and Jake Orrall (guitar/vocals) from Nashville, Jeff the Brotherhood have released their album Heavy Days on Infinity Cat Records, which they run. THIS. RECORD. IS. A. BANGER. Clocking in at just over 27 minutes long, Heavy Days packs such a powerful punch that if the record were any longer it would be tiring.

These dudes are 10 parts weird and 10 parts rad, which if my calculations are accurate, makes them 200% awesome.

Although I have yet to see these guys live, they have a show coming up at Brooklyn Bowl with Shonen Knife on 11/17 and a supporting gig on 12/6 with Ted Leo and the Pharmacists at Bowery. Expect chaos.
